Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for a Senior Analyst, Web Developer. The position is located is located in Pittsburgh, PA (Additional locations considered include: Niles OH, Whitehall MI) and is a hybrid schedule - 2 days remote, 3 days onsite). This is a full time permanent position. Ideal candidates must have 3+ years of web application development experience with C#.NET framework and JavaScript.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Analyst, Web Developer - End User Productivity will serve dual roles, providing development and support in our external web space as well as providing development and support for our customer facing application, participating in the evaluation, development/procurement, implementation, and/or support of technologies and development tools and standards in this area that meet the needs of the customers and add value to the company. The incumbent will also participate as an internal consultant to the business units and various customer groups.The End User Productivity team is responsible for the B-to-B platform and .com corporate website that connects the Client's systems with customers, suppliers, and other internal systems, providing vital communications with known users and the general public, respectively.
- This role will encompass support coordination, project management and compliance activities, as well as participation in the management and planning of the infrastructure and operating environments of the End User Productivity area. Specifically, for the B-to-B platform and .com, primary responsibilities include: Be the Subject Matter Expert for the B-to-B platform
- Provide accurate information and guidance to help shape strategic direction of the platform
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on existing and proposed functionality
- Monitor and manage the activities of off-shore support and development resources for the B-to-B application
- Monitor and manage the flow of information within the support mailbox and task queue for .com - working with internal customers and interpreting requests quickly and accurately to facilitate development resources efforts in a timely manner under tight deadlines and accelerated customer timelines
- Work as part of a team to develop, implement, evaluate, procure, and/or support computer systems and information solutions that meet the needs of the customer and add the most value to the company. This is to be accomplished by utilizing technically sound methods of investigation, analysis, design, planning, and scheduling
- Provide/coordinate reactionary support and/or preventive maintenance on the systems or technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility, with minimal supervision
- Provide advice and counsel to the customers of the systems or technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility, and to other personnel
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business processes or technologies in area(s) of responsibility; participate in and learn how to perform the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify, establish, and support value-added cross-functional data and system linkages
- In addition to individual priorities, manage a single system service or smaller project including project estimates, status communications, and schedules; execute the plans including frequent review with immediate supervisor
- Lead the discovery, planning, and implementation of process improvements in individual tasks
- Execute proof of concepts and feasibility analyses for new technological capabilities
- Experience programming ASP .NET web applications using C#.NET Framework and jQuery - 3+ years
- Knowledge of VB.NET, ADO.NET, Azure, etc. - 2+ years
- JavaScript - 2+ years
- Solid understanding of system life cycle
- Experience working with a Unix/Linux environment - 2+ years
- SQL and XML - 2+ years
- Experience with a content management system (CMS) WordPress preferred
- Experience managing small projects
- Ability to provide work direction to a small team
- Possess strong human relation skills and be able to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, other IS professionals, and GIS management
