Pay: $Flexible DOE (W-2) Length: 6 month contract to hire Location: Pittsburgh, PA - On site Job Description: The cloud security engineer builds, maintains, upgrades and continuously improves the cloud platform. The position is responsible for the operations of secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software. Main Responsibilities:
- Work in a team of cloud engineers and cloud security engineers distributed over multiple locations.
- Implement, evolve, and improve the overall security posture for the Covestro public cloud platforms on AWS
- Deep understanding in identity, directory and encryption technologies
- Work closely with Group Information Security Architecture, Engineering, and Emergency Response teams and our supply partner
- Coordinate and monitor cloud platforms from an availability, security and performance aspect
- Advise the different product teams with deep technical know-how in their efforts of securing cloud workloads
- University degree related to Information Technology, Cyber Security, or other technical degree
- Relevant professional experience is required, preferably three years or more
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud computing concepts with extensive hands-on experience
- Deep understanding of information security concepts and tools, container technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code, and scripting
- Highly organized, and strong communication capabilities and team orientation
- Independent work method, high commitment to quality, and high self-responsibility & ownership
