Job Opening for Software Engineer C
Summary: Part Time Position to supporting current desktop Windows application for scientific research team.
Ongoing projects include developing an installer, developing test procedures and exercising these procedures, upgrading IDE to latest version, upgrading to the latest Windows, and adding robotic controls for positioning product for measurement.
20-35 hrs per week, on-site 1-2 days per week as needed.
Skills/Experience
BS or higher in Computer Science.
2-3 years of experience in C and C.
Can work with application data in various formats (csv, XML)
Familiarity with MySQL a plus.
Ability to write clean, modular and testable code.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug large applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pleasant and engaging personality.
Responsibilities:
Modifies, implements, and maintains an existing Windows application to specifications and approved changes
Performs maintenance programming for existing versions
Uses Microsoft Team Foundation to track issues and resolutions and to maintain code changes/revisions
Uses IDE (e.g., Visual Studios, Eclipse) to implement changes
Performs unit testing on his/her modifications to ensure accuracy, integrity, inter-operability and
completeness
Analyzes and documents reasons for test failures, and revises/debugs assigned programs and/or procedures as necessary
Expands technical and industry expertise
Stan Engineering and Analysis is a small consulting firm located in Carroll County Ohio (between Canton and Pittsburgh) specializing in Vibration Analysis and Spectrometry software tools. Most recent Clients include PPG, Transitions, US Steel, Greenfiber, Lock Joint Tube, and others in steel, manufacturing and mining industries.
