Laptop Technician

A growing computer recycling and refurbishing company is seeking a capable computer technician for computer hardware refurbishing and E-Bay sales. Ideal applicants should have at least an associate degree in an IT related field. Hands on experience trouble shooting and repairing laptops is required. Your responsibilities will include; testing & wiping hard drives, upgrading processors RAM & hard drives, re-imaging laptops with new operating systems, making detailed lists, keeping accurate records, communicating with buyers, etc.

SUMMARY: Providing quality and efficient laptop repair. Complete exceptional work to create value for the company and a positive customer experience.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

IT equipment Testing and Refurbishing - Test all products through the proper testing procedure. Refurbish or replace parts that fail.

Maintain an adequate workflow to meet daily goals

Identifying and harvesting parts from incoming devices for testing and resale.

Organization - all parts, drives, and computers should be organized in their respective areas. Do not allow clutter to build up. Keep tools accessible that are needed for proper workflow.

Inventory - Accurately input descriptions of devices into sales portals

Processor and parts testing - Identify resalable parts, processors, memory, drives, optical drives, batteries, etc. Once identified, test parts and move to the proper resale channel.

Clean area, dust if needed.

Put all tools away at the end of the day.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

● Demonstrable mastery of E-Bay is a must.

● Previous experience in troubleshooting/repairing laptops.

● Able to learn and expand knowledge of repair items and capable of performing quality repair services.

● Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.

● Ability to sit/stand/ and be mobile for extended periods of time.

● Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs, utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

Compensation will be a base salary and a commission on completed sales through various re-sale channels. Please attach a resume with a few references for consideration.
