Job Description

The

Director of Clinical Accreditation, is responsible for enhancing quality across the clinical organization and deliver exceptional performance to our customers. The outcomes of this role will ensure continual optimization of clinical audits, improvement activities, and implementation of protocols that support the achievement of optimal member outcomes.

A day in the life…

The Director will collaborate with clinical leaders to drive improvement in quality outcomes and performance. This individual will partner with Quality to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and guide the development of key performance indicators. He/she will work collaboratively across teams to build a culture of quality, safety, high reliability, continuous improvement and compliance and to deliver exceptional member centered services.

  • This individual will report to the SVP, Clinical Operations and Innovations. The ideal candidate for this position will have
  • a track record of success in an operationally complex, fast-growing business, and experience in using technology and innovation to efficiently scale a healthcare-focused business.
  • This individual will lead the design and embedding of a new quality and governance model and ensure that all services are subject to continual quality improvement methods to enable Accolade to deliver of high quality clinical care management
  • Strong leadership skills are needed with the ability to implement change management processes in relation to quality management and experience in liaising, influencing and negotiating with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Serve as clinical expert in clinical audits and development of protocols to advance quality in consultation with Accolade medical, nursing and quality leadership
  • Maintains expert knowledge of current industry standards and contractual compliance standards, including NCQA.
  • Reviews clinical protocols and makes recommendations to clinical leaders to formulate improvements which support best practice
  • Collaborate with Quality and Clinical Teams on the implementation of improvements using continuous quality improvement principles
  • Participate in the development, review, and revision of clinical operations policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), master’s degree preferred; Current unrestricted clinical license required
  • 5+ years of experience in quality; preferred – certified in quality, National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality management principles and theory, analysis and evaluation, benchmarking and use of best practice
  • Knowledge and application of NCQA standards
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information
  • Demonstrates an energetic, 'make it happen' attitude, capable of thriving in a complex environment with an ability to build strong cross functional relationships
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder relationship management with a client focused approach to work. Able to understand the business implications of decisions and impact on customer
  • Microsoft Office expertise–Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio Skills
