Installation Field Technicians will be field data technicians, playing an integral role in our ability to deliver full service for voice data, audio-visual, and security services. We'll give you extensive training and set you up for success. What we do need from you are just strong drive and motivation. We're looking for the best of the best who are ready to step up their game and to learn and grow with the company.
What You'll Be Doing as a Cable Field Technician:
Installing fiber and copper cabling
Reading and interpreting floor plans
Terminating and dressing communications closets
Testing, troubleshooting, and resolving obstacles
Leading 1-3 technicians, as needed
Consistently striving to learn more, do more, and grow
This is what we expect you'll be doing, but we are a rapidly growing, dynamic company, and the reality is that no two days will be the same and you'll never be bored!
What You Need to Succeed as a Cable Field Technician:
High school diploma or equivalent is required (a college degree on top is awesome!)
Dedication, commitment, and self-motivation
Experience in construction, electrical work, or any skilled trades is helpful, but not necessary (don't worry, we have great paid training!)
Must be willing & able to commit to occasional travel
Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license
Climbing
Ability to climb a ladder a minimum 30 rungs.
Ability to climb stairs a minimum of 44 steps.
Working Conditions
extreme driving hours
Ability to work in extreme cold extreme heat, dryness, wetness and high humidity
Ability to work at elevated heights up to 24 feet and in areas with elevated noise levels (over 85dB).
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to swing to and from boat to platform or other structure using a swing rope (individuals supporting inland water or offshore pipeline sites).
