Operations Analystin the

Chambersburg, PA area.

Responsibilities

Operations
  • Monitor jobs submitted by users
  • Monitor jobs submitted by ROBOT
  • Monitor iSeries performance (disk storage, CPU usage, record locks, job errors)
  • Complete schedules for daily/weekend/month-end/year-end processing
  • Perform weekly system backups
  • Update iSeries tape logs and performance logs/charts
  • Perform monthly data refreshes on TEST/DEV partitions
  • Work with Applications group on job errors/issues
  • Troubleshoot user printing issues (msg wait, start writers, reports in wrong outq)
  • System maintenance (file reorgs, reclaim storage, etc.)

Administration
  • New account setups
  • I-Drive folder setup/security
  • Cleanup of old accounts/libraries/owned objects
  • File security
  • Setup of new jobs in ROBOT
  • Program implementations
  • Apply utility software updates/upgrades (ROBOT, DASD+, etc.)
  • Put together schedules for daily/weekend/month-end/year-end processing
  • MIMIX setup/monitoring/maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with IBM AS/400 iSeries operations
  • Experience with MAPICS and BPCS
  • Experience with ROBOT
  • 10+ years of experience working as a computer operator
  • Experience working in an enterprise level environment

Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry
