We are actively seeking a Precision Applications System Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design of timely, efficient and cost effective embedded electrical solutions for Precision Farming Applications such as ISOBUS 11783, Task Controller, Virtual Terminal, Data Management, Yield Monitoring, Overlap Control, Mapping etc.
This position will act as interface between Platform, Marketing, Engineering and External Suppliers/Partners for requirements gathering and clarification as they relate to the above integration and interfaces. You will also ensure high quality demands on the execution, delivery and coordination of projects of the program will positively be achieved. This position is responsible to ensure the technical content meets Vehicle Platform needs and program timing adheres plans.Responsibilities Create detailed systems specifications for Precision Farming Applications (ISOBUS, Task Controller, Virtual terminal, Data Management, Yield Monitoring, Overlap Control, Mapping etc.) Assist in the development of product plans. Verify other teams' requirements and assist in integration of their needs into base product. Works with Platform and Product Manager on clear deliverables. Review progress of projects and provide weekly progress updates to stakeholders. Make recommendations to peers and direct manager based on sound engineering principles, practices and judgment pertaining to specific engineering problems as a contribution to the overall engineering and manufacturing objectives. Prepare reports consistent with program requirements, client development processes and recommends processes unique to expertise. Propose innovations, create invention disclosures, critique and advocates proposals for others, propose and develop new design concepts and IP which will advance client product/systems. Travel up to 10%Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with emphasis in Software, Agricultural, and/or Electrical disciplines 3 or more years of product development experience 6 months or more of experience in requirements definition and documentation 1 or more years of experience working with Precision Farming or related systemsPreferred Qualifications: Experience in product definition and development of complex systems preferably for on-road or off-road vehicle systems; prior automotive systems engineering experience also considered Prior experience in the use of Precision Farming practices Prior experience in Precision Farming product developmentVacancy expired!
