Job Description:

Our clients commercial aircraft team is seeking Structural Analysis Engineers for the Design Center in Ridley Park, PA. The Design Center is a multi-function Engineering Organization with a mission statement to provide engineering solutions via a highly skilled flexible workforce and cutting edge technologies for the advancement of the clients enterprise and is a flexible team that strategically adapts to emerging opportunities.

Responsibilities:

-Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.

-Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.

-Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

-Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

-Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

-Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.

-Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

Position Responsibilities:

Support and confirmation of fracture assessments for service life requirements.

Strength analysis will include interpretation of vehicle loads and environments, stress calculations and development of margins of safety with known allowables.

Observance of program standards and requirements to insure structural integrity, and documentation of stress reports.

Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements.

Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design.

Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.

Support and confirmation of fracture assessments for service life requirements.

Experience with Aerospace Structural hardware and Finite Element Method (FEM).

Excellent strength reporting writing skills.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including NASTRAN, PATRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
