The appointment is for one year, but may be renewable depending on departmental needs. We seek an individual who is committed to teaching highly motivated undergraduates at the introductory and intermediate levels.
Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Diversity and inclusion have been and will continue to be an integral component of Villanova University's mission. The candidate will teach three or four courses per semester depending on the level, and will have the opportunity to design classes and curricular materials. Additionally, the faculty member will contribute to departmental service and student mentoring. The PhD should be in a relevant discipline, and the candidate should have native or near-native fluency in Italian. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in instructional pedagogies, and the capacity to create innovative language and culture courses.
