Job Description
The Lease Compliance Analyst will contribute to rue21’s success by managing a portfolio of the Company’s leases for its retail stores. They will have a wide range of responsibilities that includes working with real estate leases, managing payments made to landlords, and working with the Company’s lease database. They will work closely with internal rue21 teams as well as landlords to address various issues that may arise from time to time.
· Work related to accounts payable functions including reviewing billing statements and reconciling landlord billings, and processing payments
· Work related to lease compliance to ensure that rue21 and our landlords are following the terms of our store leases including collecting tenant allowances, monitoring incoming mail (paper and electronic), maintaining the Company’s internal files, and assisting Legal with processing new documents
· Entering and maintaining key data points from the leases and related documents into the Company’s lease database and ensuring accurate files are maintained (paper and electronic)
· Other functional opportunities include assisting the internal teams at rue21 including Store Operations, Facility Management, Legal, and Construction
Qualifications
· Engaging interpersonal and presentation skills
· Accounts Payable processing
· Understanding retail real estate leases
· Self-Starter and comfortable with use of technology
· 3-5 years of experience retail lease administration / lease audit preferred
