The Warehouser manages all tasks associated with the movement of supplies and equipment throughout the UPMC Health System facilities, vendors, and other outside parties. They also provide verification of orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and the routing of all inbound and outbound materials and or equipment.This position works Monday - Friday with a 7am or 8am start time (daylight shift). No weekends and no schedule rotations! The UPMC Warehousers work at our Consolidated Service Center in Warrendale, PA.Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Handle all communications in a timely and professional manner.

Contributes to achieving overall warehouse goals in Cost, Quality, and Productivity as set forth by current standards.

Work to conform to all policies and procedures established by the Purchasing/Materials Management department.

Process the general shipping of all outbound freight.

Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of all inbound freight.

Directly contributes to the receiving optimization project reducing redundancy in the distribution of products to the hospitals.

Ensures proper technique is utilized in repackaging and/or staging of product for delivery to hospitals to ensure minimal product loss and damage.

All assigned receipts are completed each day, contributing to a receiving department goal of zero overtime.

Ensures customer service levels are met by maintaining the scheduled delivery times at respective UPMC facilities.

Maintain a professional attitude during all interactions with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.

Ensures to conform to the departmental attendance policy.

Participates actively in maintaining cleanliness standards in the warehouse.

Demonstrate working knowledge of the department's inventory and receiving modules.

Comply with all local, city, and state traffic regulations while operating UPMC vehicles.

Ensures customer service levels are met by delivering products damage-free and placed in proper designated secure areas.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to handle heavy material using manual and mechanized material handling equipment.

Ability to lift heavy objects along with no work limitations.

Receiving and inventory experience preferred.

Good communication skills are required.
