The Sr. Manager of Global IT Change & Release Management will be responsible for the Change and Release Management functions, covering both the day-to-day operations and continual improvement. The candidate will drive the implementation and enforcement of the adoption of Change and Release management processes across the enterprise. This role will ensure that standard processes and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of technology changes in responding to customer's requirements, while maximizing value and reducing incident, disruption, and rework. The candidate will also ensure that the integrity of the live environment is protected by having technology changes that are planned, scheduled, and controlled. Besides, the candidate should have extensive experience in ITIL framework, production support environments, software release management, process improvement and automation using industry best practices & tools.

This is a newly created position to oversee the Release, Change, and Service Transition functions of GTO's Production Services.

In this role you will:
  • Establish, maintain, and operationalize the process for Change and Release Management
  • Ensure the production environment is protected by a rigorous Change and Release Management process.
  • Ensure standardized process and procedures are used for efficient handling of changes to minimize incidents due to change
  • Lead the Change and Release Management process activities across various IT functions within the organization
  • Chair the divisional and cross-divisional Change Advisory Boards. Circulate in-scope Requests for Change (RFCs/CMs) to CAB members in advance of meeting to allow prior consideration/review.
  • Maintain the IT Change Calendar that comprises of forward schedule of all changes
  • Manage, coordinate, monitor, and report on change activities
  • Audit and manage the Change and Release Management process improvement cycle
  • Play a key role in collaborating with other IT teams in ensuring the highest level of operational service delivery
  • Act as a focal point for all escalation and communication activities related to users and IT teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of change activities. Highlight and escalate risk & issues to management.
  • Consult and coach project teams. Create actionable deliverables in preparation for service transition from project to operations
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor Change and Release progresses

The ideal candidate will have:

5-10 years Leadership experience in a technology operations environment

Excellent understanding in IT service management (ITSM) with proven track record in establishing, managing IT change & release processes and activities within a global/regional organization

5-10 years in IT working as a project manager or in a strategic transformation role

5-7 years in Change and Release Management acting as a lead or manager in an operations centric environment. Preferably in an organization developing enterprise applications.

Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices. Experience with AWS CodePipeline and other continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Bitbucket.

Working knowledge and understanding in the full technology stack such as IT Infrastructure, Virtualization, Security, App/Dev, Cloud Models, and Technological Change

Hands-on experience with project and task management tools such as Jira and ServiceNow

ITIL Foundations v3 or v4 certified or knowledge of ITIL a plus Technical Production support, Ops support skills a plus

Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal

Excellent active listening skills

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within a matrix organization. Ability to work with offshore teams.

Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

Problem solving and root cause identification skills
