Role Description: The

Business Systems Analyst must have at least 5+ years of experience. For this role, you must be a Functional Analyst with a background in Department of Defense (DOD) Accounting who can provide functional and technical support of a DOD logistics management system. You should have good working knowledge of DOD accounting and logistics and related processes. You will take a proactive role in functional design and system improvements and will be capable of completing projects with increasing complexity.

Day to Day Responsibilities/Duties: - Identify functional requirements and drives the development and implementation of significant improvements to existing processes - Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology and documentation - Work and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to document the key business goals and objectives for a new or existing process - Prepare detailed requirement specifications in the form of user stories or functional requirement documents for the development teams - Participation in the Agile software development process as a proxy for the process owner role to help facilitate progress, answer any questions and provide more detailed requirements as necessary - Collaborate with development teams to produce any required documentation or communications that may be necessary in support of the project including project status, project roadmap, release plan, etc. - Develop test cases/scenarios and detailed acceptance criteria - Support project delivery by working with the user community to document and coordinate user acceptance testing and training plans - Assist the Help Desk with problem and incident management - Assist with end user training as necessary

Qualifications

Requirements: - Bachelors degree in IT or Accounting - 5+ years in Accounting - 3+ years in software development - Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Demonstrated critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical capability - Knowledge of project management methodologies and software development lifecycles - Experience with Microsoft desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio)

Competencies: - DOD Accounting - Fixed Asset Reporting - Funds Management - Fund Targets, Commitment/Obligation Accounting - Knowledge in Departmental Reporting - DOD Cost Accounting - Financial Accounting for Operating Supplies and Materials - Accounting for General Funds and/or Working Capital Funds

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
