Role Description: The

SHIELD Informaticist must have at least 3+ years of experience.

Required Experience and Skills: - Excellent writing and experience with academic writing and publications. - Deep understanding of health standards such as SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, etc. - Experience with health IT based research and HL7 experience. - Deep understanding of terminology and interoperability technologies and solutions.

Preferred Skills: - Statistical process controls, HRO, learning health systems. - Understanding of Health IT systems development. - Published and presented at Health Informatics conferences (HIMSS, AMIA, etc.)

Day-to-day Responsibilities: - Lead a team of junior informaticists and terminologists. - Promote an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, and sharing of laboratory data in a way that the knowledge is understandable, reproducible, and useful. - Collaborate proactively with health IT stakeholders across industry, agencies, and disciplines. - Develop an authoritative source for laboratory data representation that will support existing data models and will be accessible by stakeholders that create or use laboratory data.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
