Job Description
Title: Chemist - III (Senior) Location: West Point, PA Duration: 12 + Months • Under the direction of a more senior staff member, the incumbent will carry out routine testing on pharmaceutical drug products. • Included will be stability testing (assay, dissolution, KF, disintegration, etc.). • Method validation may also be performed depending on the ability of the candidate. Quals Minimum education: • BS/Master's in life sciences, chemistry preferred. Experience: With BS, minimum 2 years and with Master's, min. 1 year of pharmaceutical experience. • GMP experience preferred • Successful performance requires a sound basic knowledge of the individual scientific discipline and the ability to apply fundamental principles and techniques to the problems assigned. • Needs to work quickly and efficiently, while obtaining high quality data. • Experience with HPLC is required. • Experience with Empower and dissolution is preferred. Software: • EMPOWER or any other chromatography collection software (Preferred) • MS office suite Personality: • Detail oriented • Multitasker • Organized • Team player • Follows instructions Note: 1 year lab based assignment, onsite at WestPoint site.
