ADON - Assistant Director of Nursing

As the ADON, you will be at the forefront of coordinating, developing, and leading the nursing staff. Key Responsibilities:Monitors the effectiveness of nursing practices with managing 24-hour nursing care in accordance with current policies, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care facilities.Monitors and provides support and guidance to nursing management to ensure nursing staff are compliant with their respective job descriptions, and working within policy guidelines and performance standards.Collaborates with HR Department in the recruiting, interviewing, and orientation process of new hires, as well as seeking assistance with managing associate performance deficiencies.Assists the Director of Nursing and nursing management with the completion of associate mid-year goal check-ins and annual performance review process. Monitors the accomplishments of associate goals.Facilitates in nursing department's Quality Assurance program which includes providing support and guidance to nursing staff for conducting audits, identifying problems, and developing plans of corrective action.Ensures that licensed staff complies written procedures for the administration, storage, and documentation of controlled drugs.Serves as community Infection Preventionist.
