Full Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:
Schedule drivers while utilizing and maximizing available driver hours and loaded miles
Identify priorities; utilize available resources effectively to meet these priorities; anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources when necessary
Communicate effectively with customers and drivers providing concise instruction or information
Use effective listening skills to collect required information or to identify potential problems/ warning signs and escalate when necessary
Develop relationships with customers and drivers; utilize relationships to influence others and gain willing cooperation
Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED required
Ability to multi-task
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
2 Years experience in shipping/receiving or truck/trailer dispatch
Able to take on a heavy volume of calls and emails
