Apex has an opportunity for a REMOTE Application Support Engineer. Here are the details: Position: Application Support Engineer Location: Remote Rate: Negotiable based on experience Duration: 6+ month contract - can go longer Position Description: Looking for an Application Support Engineer who can support .Net applications on top of the server. These can be home grown applications or 3 rd party apps. This is NOT a development role. This will be administration, trouble shooting, making the site secure, tracking deployment of apps code etc.
- Most server technologists' resumes that we have seen (and declined) have core infrastructure experience. Candidates typically have experience building servers, operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage and security. This experience can be useful but core infrastructure experience does not qualify candidates .
- The specific server technologist roles that we are filling focus on technologies which are layered on top of core Windows servers. Candidates with experience implementing, securing, troubleshooting and supporting the technologies, tools and applications that run on top of core Windows servers do qualify .
A candidate's work experience must include at least one of the following: Windows server-related support of development and enhancement of home-grown technologies; Windows server-related support of 3rd-party technologies; Required Skills: IIS OR .Net (support) AND Powershell Need Powershell 100% They use Octopus but Jenkins is another orchestrating tool they can use Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): On premise role, not cloud.
