Title: Business Strategy Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Lincoln, RI (3 days on-site)Rate: Negotiable based upon experienceDuration: PermanentOur Client's Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Business Designer who will be responsible for articulating how new offerings will be of value and profitable for them through business cases and related assets to drive ideas forward. The Business Designer combines strategic thinking, quantitative analysis and human centered design thinking techniques and practices to craft and build new products, services, and offerings. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of strategy and design to support our innovation capability and offerings. Responsibilities:- Develop business cases and business models for enhanced and new solutions and offerings.
- Work with Business Units to define capabilities needed to deliver a solution and a plan to acquire/leverage them.
- Work with Business Units, CIS, and others to define delivery roadmaps.
- Work with research resources to define and execute pilots to test solution viability in-market and provide in-depth quantitative analysis of research.
- Work with mobile app team to support analysis of analytics data.
- Support Strategic Designer in understanding business flows, data analysis, business needs, and user insights when applicable.
- Create roadmaps for pilots and scaling of new solutions, supporting which assumptions to test.
- Identify existing workflows and integrate new offerings into the current processes, leveraging human-centered design mindset for business units, employees, and customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering, Finance, or related field; a master's in business and industry experience is a plus.
- Strong quantitative skills and capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in business model development, scenario planning, and forecasting, with a depth of experience using Excel as a baseline.
- Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and effective in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Successful candidates will combine business acumen across several the following areas, along with depth in one or two: Product Development or Management, Marketing, Strategy, Design, Operations, and Finance.
- An understanding of strategic frameworks and approaches (e.g. the strategy choice cascade).
- Identifies and ensures front and back-end capabilities are considered in development of new offerings.
- A systems thinker who is a team player, flexible contributor, optimistic, iterative, curious, and open-minded.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Attentive to detail. Strong analytical, structured, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
