This is a remote/virtual position that can be based nationwide. Hybrid Remote. SAIC's Intern program offers developmental learning experiences designed to provide on-the-job learning skills, and always an overall feel for the environment they're interning in. Roles and Responsibilities:- Will support other engineers to conduct modeling, analysis, and mechanical design.
- Mechanical Engineering design, documentation, and analysis.
- Provides technical support, either within the company or in support of customer contracts, on assignments using established procedures.
- Candidates are primarily engaged in the technical or scientific disciplines through the course of college study. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee).
- Little to no knowledge of the job.
- Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
- Applies job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Some college-level classes completed in an engineering discipline
- Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Candidates should have strong written and oral communications abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common office software applications is required
