Overview
This position provides guidance, assistance, and support for integration of business software. Includes support for both internal and external customers. Customer communication will include installations, status meetings, change requests, questions, problem solving, documenting, and general support of integrated software.
Responsibilities
Install data interfaces with institutions, as well as develop and maintain documentation for all data integration interfaces and procedures.
Troubleshoot issues related to data interfaces with institutions and vendors
Research ERP and Student Financial system upgrades with partners
Present and discuss IT options and communicate information on various technologies to school staff (both IT and non-IT) regarding data integration between Nelnet and the applicable institution.
Analyze simple to complex requests, inquiries and issues to determine the appropriate fix or resource to resolve problem.
Alert clients and team members in a timely manner when a major problem is suspected.
Documents and tracks status of client inquiries, issues, and migrations while following up with stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
Translates technical details into business relevant language.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Associate's degree in Information Science or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience with troubleshooting technical issues.
Previous experience with ERP systems (including but not limited to Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague, Workday, or PowerCampus.)
Previous experience in education industry is a plus.
COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical clients.
Knowledge to support batch processing, database queries, and web service communication.
Knowledge of security, HTTP methods, SFTP, TCP, and ETL concepts.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn and master business software.
Strong oral and written communication skills to include using e-mail, chat, telephone, and documenting processes.
Proven technical aptitude to include strong troubleshooting skills.
Detail oriented with good problem solving skills.
Ability to work well among a diverse team of individuals as a team player.
Positive attitude with all customers and co-workers.
Demonstrates and exhibits initiative and is assertive when necessary.
