Job DescriptionProvides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. We are seeking an experienced sales engineer, with in-depth telecommunications experience and strong OSS knowledge specifically in network and service assurance (and products such as: Oracle/Federos Assure1, Netcool, OpenView, SevOne, SMARTS). Complementary OSS/BSS experience in orchestration, fulfillment, inventory management, service activation and charging/billing is an advantage but not required. Network technologies and vendor experience across Wireline, Cable, Mobile, and Digital Providers.Required Skills / ExpertiseRequired OSS skillset

In-depth network and service assurance experience

Experience with Federos Assure1 or similar products (IBM Netcool, CA Spectrum, HP OpenView, SevOne, EMC SMARTS, SolarWinds, ZenOSS etc.)

Network & vendor experience: Wireline, Cable, MEC, Mobile (3G/4G/5G); Accedian, Broadcom, Cisco, Ericsson, Juniper, Nokia, etc.

Experience with orchestration, fulfillment, inventory management and service activation; and the order to activate business process

Experience with charging, rating, and billing, and the order to cash business process

Experience with Oracle or other vendor OSS and BSS products or similar vendors (Amdocs, Ericsson, Blue Planet, Matrixx, Netcracker, etc.)

Pre-sales and soft skills

Minimum of 5+ years of previous experience in a Technical Sales / Solution Consultant / Sales Engineer role

Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills at all levels of an organization

Skilled in delivering high quality impactful presentations and demonstrations, presenting solutions and product capabilities in a compelling manner

Demonstrated sales acumen and technical knowledge

Experience working with highly technical telco and/or CSP clients

Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with peers and clients

Experience working with the sales lifecycle and driving customer outcomes

Driven and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence in everything they do

Engaging in high-value conversations with technical architects, managers, and C-levels at communication service provider accounts

Self-starter with the ability to work within a team structure spanning multiple working groups

Must possess the ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently

Job Tasks / FunctionsActively develop and progress qualified opportunities with the Oracle Sales Team

Assist in qualification process

Act as a deep technical expert in sales opportunities, and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful

Collaborate with other internal Oracle teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction

Maintain an understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, and industry business processes

Deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concepts while articulating business value for the Unified Assurance solution and other products

Collaborate with Oracle sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions

Support customers across the sales cycle

Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires

Assist with Proof of Concepts (POC's) to deliver solutions based on customer requirements to prove product functionality meets and exceeds requirements
