Join LTD and help create the next generation of technologies that will touch the lives of people the world over for decades to come.The LTD Device Engineering Area Manager will report directly to the Senior VP and General Manager of Logic Technology Development (LTD) and will manage the Device Group in LTD.Responsibilities:This person will be responsible for managing the Device Engineering team across all Programs to ensure that LTD sets and meets aggressive best-in-class targets for transistor and interconnect performance. Doing this is one of the most important factors in Intel’s success.The individual will:Lead a complex organization that creates strategic process performance goals for Intel technologies and drives LTD to deliver to those goals.

Develop an organization, tool infrastructure, and methodology to convert volumes of device data into a meaningful, executable direction for process performance and continually re-evaluate and improve the methodology that is used to drive performance learning.

Be accountable to Intel’s executive leadership team for delivering capability that meets product yield, performance, and schedule requirements on a predictable cadence.

Drive and manage Intel’s long-term process performance technology and scaling roadmap.

Provide clear and crisp interactions with internal partners as well as external Foundry customers.

Required Skills and Experience;The LTD Device Engineering Area Manager role requires:10+ years of experience driving process performance technology either as a leader in device physics, process development or enhancement who has had specific responsibility for developing roadmaps and driving process performance technology forward

Strong leadership and expertise in device physics

Strong people management skills, ideally with experience in a matrixed environment and leading technical organizations as a manager of technical managers

A combination of business acumen, organizational savvy, and technical expertise

Ability to work cross-organizationally to drive strategic objectives and organization development goals

Strong execution and results focus and demonstrated ability to manage a large, diverse organization

Knowledge of Intel's day-to-day planning of products and systems and supply-demand optimization

A strong desire to enable the development of the organization

Good manufacturing and operational experience and leadership

Superior networking and influencing skills and the ability to bring people together

Excellent business judgment, strategic vision and negotiation skills

Solid financial analysis skills, including creating and understanding different industry business models

QualificationsPhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field

15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry

10+ years of experience leading and setting priorities for device teams in a large organization
