We are a startup robotics startup revolutionizing senior mobility and accessibility. We are seeking a talented and creative Industrial Designer to help shape the future of our robotic products. This role is key in designing the look and feel of our next-generation robots, making them functional, appealing, and easy to use.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Industrial Designer to join our team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for designing the physical shape and appearance of our robots, and creating detailed 3D models that are ready for manufacturing and assembly.

Responsibilities:

Design the physical shape and appearance of the robot, focusing on aesthetics, ergonomics, and usability.

Create 3D models of the design, including detailed mechanical components.

Ensure designs are practical for manufacturing and assembly, including prototyping where necessary.

Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate components seamlessly into the overall design.

Work with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar tools.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Industrial Designer, preferably within robotics, consumer electronics, or a similar hardware-focused industry.

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of design principles including ergonomics, user experience, and aesthetics.

Experience with prototyping and manufacturing processes.

Ability to understand engineering constraints and work collaboratively to find the best solutions.

Knowledge of robotics or mechatronics engineering is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.

Good understanding of materials and production techniques.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
