Technical Chemical Sales Representative to work directly with industry customers. The selected individual is expected to follow up on new sales leads as well as service and nurture relationships with current customers.

The position requires working throughout the chemical industry providing sales support for related service issues. Marketing duties assigned by the sales team such as attending trade shows and hosting local events to promote chemical products is an integral part of the position. A chemistry or chemical engineering degree and background in sales or service is preferable. However, candidates with alternate degrees and a strong desire to be involved in sales will be considered.

The ideal sales representative is an organized, self-starting team player with a positive attitude, who can work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills, PC proficiency, high standards, and solid work ethic are essential.

Experience in proactively generating leads and setting appointments by business-to-business cold calling, telemarketing, prospecting local businesses, and presenting proposals to customers who represent new business possibilities is preferred.

The position offers the perfect opportunity for a person whose skill set includes:

Maintaining a professional relationship with chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, and other manufacturers to build a customer base and referral networks.

Working trade shows, distributing information packets, and making excellent presentations to capture new customers and up-sell current customers.

Recognizing all revenue generating opportunities by evaluating customers and prospects and designing customized proposals based on findings.

Generating international opportunities based on bilingual language skills. Please indicate second and third language abilities. Successful sales representatives will watch both their careers and earning potential accelerate at an astounding pace.
