DescriptionAs a member of the Consumer Lending finance team the Finance Analyst is responsible for financial modeling, report development, month end review and analysis, financial forecasting and ad hoc value-added analysis. The Finance Analyst works with the Finance Manager to provide financial support and reporting for the Consumer line of business.Specific responsibilities include: Prepare, review, approve month end accruals and reporting to assist with the month end close process and ensure financial results accurately reflect business activity. Perform detailed review and analysis of financial results and provide written explanation of variances to forecast/budget and future risks and opportunities. Prepare financial packages (monthly, budget strategic plan) including detailed schedules on financial results and key financial metrics. Forecast revenue, expense and balance sheet volume driver activity thru the use of, enhancement to and development of excel based models. Proactively identify opportunities for change and process improvement and implement and document the same. Ensure proper controls are in place over processes to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate output. Provide support, analysis and model development on an as needed basis.Qualifications
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in finance/accounting
Excellent financial analysis, modelling, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Essbase and Oracle experience a plus
Independent self-starter with an interest in finance, a desire to learn new concepts and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communications/presentation skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in accounting, finance or business.
