We’re looking for an insightful and curious analytics expert or data scientist with communications or marketing experience who can collect and analyze data from our existing sources and translate it into insights that will help us take our communications programs to the next level, while identifying and pursuing new data streams that can give us a more complete picture of how colleagues are engaging with our content and feeling about our company. This role will report to the Director, Internal Digital Channels, and be responsible for gathering and studying data from all available sources, and delivering reports and strategic counsel that clearly articulate the effectiveness of our communications programs and where we have opportunities to improve. The Data Analytics and Colleague Sentiment Analyst will also develop methods for tracking and reporting colleague sentiment on an ongoing basis and in connection to specific events and company actions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues on the Editorial Strategy and Internal Digital Channels team to use data to support the creation of a content strategy and tactics that effectively communicate important information to our colleagues. This position is Work from Home.Key responsibilities - Collect and analyze data on colleague engagement with our internal communications channels, including our enterprise email distribution platform, intranet, digital screen network and enterprise colleague events- Collate data from multiple sources to create reports that draw insights from our data, and show where we are successful and identify how we can communicate to our colleagues more effectively- Identify gaps in our data types or data sources and develop new ways to collect the data we need to fully understand the effectiveness of our communications and the sentiment of our colleagues- Use a strong understanding of Enterprise Communications’ goals and a deep knowledge of data analysis to serve as a strategic advisor on communications program design and execution - Develop survey programs that give us a deeper understanding of how colleagues are engaging with our content and using our platforms- Create a program of focus groups and standing advisory boards to help guide strategic communications decisions- Develop a benchmarking program to study the methods and channels similarly sized companies with comparable workforces use to communicate with their colleaguesThe ideal candidate has:- Designed and built communications or marketing analytics programs that have led to significant improvements in audience engagement- Worked with a variety of tools, platforms and vendors to access, analyze and report data that provides a comprehensive view of audience engagement and sentiment- Developed and conducted direct methods to study audience engagement, including focus groups and surveys- Advised on the data types, data sources and analytics methods needed to draw clear insights that lead to improvements in communications or marketing programs- Created analytics reports that clearly convey communications or marketing program effectiveness to senior executives- Conducted data analysis on social media platforms and channels to determine audience engagement, scope and make upPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 43,700Maximum: 97,400Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications3+ years data analytics experience at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise
