Robert Half is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format to support the work of a company in the Manufacturing field. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity, is located in the Anderson, South Carolina, area.What you get to do every day- Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions- Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems- Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters- Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities- Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals Requirements - Desktop support or related experience- Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals- Demonstrated knowledge of Ticketing System- Practical knowledge of Break Fix- Hardware & software installation experience highly desired- Proficiency in Desktop Support- Basic Troubleshooting experience highly preferred- Desktop Hardware experience- General familiarity with Support Tickets- Command of Computer Imaging- Desktop Imaging experience- Adeptness in Password Reset Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
