Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for students to participate in our 2022 co-op and intern programs. Students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of Gas Utility Operations that will prepare them to compete for entry-level, professional positions in the utility industry upon graduation. The program's goal is to attract, develop, and retain high-potential college students. Upon graduation and successful completion of our program, the student may be eligible for consideration for a full-time position in one of Dominion's core business units.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Selected students will gain Utility knowledge in the following areas based upon the student's area of interest and business need: Prepare plans and procedures for natural gas station projects using AutoCad, GIS, and Microsoft Office computer software. Projects include new system regulating stations and customer meter sets; Project administration duties including managing project records, documenting design basis, and communicating with other departments; LNG plant support duties including creating drawings or procedures for local plant personnel and assisting with plant equipment troubleshooting; Students must be available to travel and work outside of normal business hours throughout the Dominion Energy's Gas service territory.

Education Requirements

Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5; Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation: Must have strong computer skills and good oral and written communication skills : Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location.

Must have graduation date of 2024 or 2025.
