Responsibilities:
Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
Ability to navigate our reservation platform (ResNexus)
Provide high level of customer service
Ability to make reservations whether online, over the phone or in person
Ensuring that guest/s are lodged in their appropriate assigned rooms
Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.
Complete all items on the appropriate (AM, PM Shift) checklist by the end of shift.
Answer all emails and texts promptly and professionally
Ensure that you as a front desk employee are well presented (uniforms, personal hygiene etc.)
Ensure Breakfast and Happy Hour are prepared and served in a timely, organized fashion
Ensure that you collect and review the proper documentations when checking in guest/s
Submit all lost & found articles accompanied by a completed lost & found report.
Knowledgeable of immediate area, services, attractions, and events.
Upsell our facility by establishing our services/retails to guests
Enforce our strict policies to guest/s
Occasionally taking guest to and from the beach or surrounding areas via our golf cart
Provide information regarding local amenities such as restaurants, shopping, and attractions that may be of interest to guests.
Open, secure, and balance out petty cash when required.
Monitor room availability throughout the day.
Respectful of stipulated work hours
Ensure that all special requests are dealt with day/s priority to guest/s arrival
Print out housekeeping task sheet for the day
Perform all other duties as directed by manager
Qualifications and Abilities
High school diploma or GED and six months to a year in related experience
Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, staff, and upper management.
Adaptable to flexible working hours including weekends, nights and holidays.
Excellent oral and written communication ability.
Computer skills to include data entry and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
Must be able to lift max 25lbs
Other requirements:
Basic culinary skills (preferred not mandatory)
Possess a valid South Carolina Drivers License
Able to multitask
