Position Purpose/Summary
Responsible for providing adult student with appropriate instruction to develop their skills in literacy, language, math and areas related to their own goals.
Essential Functions
Reviews lesson plans and materials.
Implements plans with adult learner. Teaches subjects including reading, phonics, vocabulary, writing, math, current events, and history.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to teach to a variety of knowledge and skill levels.
Ability to follow teacher's written lesson plans and interact well with students.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience teaching adult basic reading, writing, and mathematics. Computer skills also required.
