Fuel Tanker Driver – FT0919Sanders Brother Construction is currently seeking a Fuel Tanker Driver to provide fuel and lubrication support to our Charleston area projects. The Fuel Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a fuel tank truck for the purposes of delivering fuel to various job sites. This will also require general maintenance such as equipment lubrication. Roles and Responsibilities
Drive and operate a tank truck for the purposes of delivering fuel to equipment and job sites.
Operate lubricating equipment to meet preventive maintenance needs of equipment.
Maintain DOT driving qualifications
Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed which may require working more than 40 hours but within DOT requirements weekly.
Work in varying weather conditions and work environments including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc.
Keep company vehicle clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems.
Comply with all SBCC policies, procedures and safety requirements.
Perform any other general duties as specified.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must possess a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy.
Hold and maintain Tank and Hazmat endorsements.
High school diploma/GED preferred.
Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
Must be able to work independently and meet production expectations.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force regularly to move objects.
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds.
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends & nights.
Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.
Preferred Skills
2+ Years operating/driving a commercial vehicle
Extensive knowledge of the Charleston area.
