The Historic Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston, SC has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Guest Services Supervisor. The major areas of supervision for this job include Transportation, Valet, Concierge, and Bell Stand. This position will supervise the daily operations of the Guest Service areas to comply with standard operating procedures, safety regulations and to ensure that a high level of quality service and hospitality are provided to our hotel guests. The Guest Services Supervisor will interview, schedule, train, and develop the Guest Service staff. In addition, the Guest Services Supervisor will plan and direct the transportation needs for groups and individual guests to assist the Sales Department and to attract and retain customers by providing top quality service.
Interested applicants must have a minimum of 2 years prior customer service experience, preferably for a hotel. This job requires a thorough knowledge of guest services and hotel policies, procedures and operations. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. A hospitality degree is preferred. This job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as continuous standing and movement throughout the hotel up to 90% of the shift. This job requires a clean driving record.
