The team behind Basic Kitchen is re opening The Post House in Mount Pleasant. We are looking for an amazing individual to work with us as the Sous Chef.

Applicants should have at least two years working in a similar position. Applicants should possess the following skills and will be responsible for:
- Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks to ensure workload is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately
- Organizing daily prep lists and delegating prep to necessary staff
- Ordering and receiving
- Monitoring inventory, rotate where necessary and report to Executive Chef
- Work with Executive chef on maintain food and labor costs
- Have a high level of professionalism and an ability to manage and work as part of a team
- Expediting service periods
- Posses strong communication skills and maintain FOH and BOH communication channels
- Educating both FOH and BOH staff on product
- Have a thorough understanding of DHEC guidelines and making sure the kitchen team complies with these
