Logistics company specializing in disaster relief currently accepting applications for administrative positions. We provide business continuity and logistics services for the telecommunications and energy sector during emergency situations. Our primary functions are power generation and base camp operations in the immediate aftermath of major natural disasters including hurricanes, wildfires, and ice storms. We are looking for qualified individuals with the ability to problem-solve and multitask under pressure. Deployment on a storm can mean long hours in uncertain environments and we need people who are highly adaptable and thrive in dynamic, ever-shifting situations.

Due to the nature of this work, it is critical to note that flexible availability is a must. We mobilize our contractor force only when disasters occur, and are seeking individuals who have the ability to deploy to an affected disaster area on very short notice and stay in the field for anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months.

Our company has provided services for numerous relief efforts over the last ten years, including hurricanes like Irma, Maria, Harvey, Florence, Michael, and many others. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this can be a very rewarding opportunity. Starting compensation is $15 per hour as an independent contractor/1099 employee with opportunities for advancement.

Job duties included:

-Ensuring employee hours are up to date

-Managing pivot reports

-Managing reimbursements and approval for all receipts

-Managing, securing, and tracking of all vehicles and necessary equipment

-Collaborating with state and local governments for waiving fines and tolls

-Management and oversight of all credit cards

-Activating and tracking all personnel

-Updating and inputting all new and existing personnel information into the database

-Communicating with contractors and vendors

Skills:

-Excellent written and verbal communication

-Capable of multitasking

-Organized and detail-oriented

-Proficient in Microsoft Office

-Ability to exercise mature judgement, respond to time-sensitive requests, and make decisions/execute plans with minimal guidance

Minimum Requirements:

-Must have valid drivers license

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Must legally be allowed to work in the US
