Job Description:
  • Provide support to the LDCS project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
  • Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database.
  • Provide support to the LDCS project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.
  • Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.
  • Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database.
  • Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
  • Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items
  • Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools.
  • Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools. Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
  • Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience with Change management, configuration management, and knowledge management in the DOD environment.

  • Must have a Secret Clearance
  • CMPIC Certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in configuration management process and techniques, with experience establishing or redesigning a Configuration Management Plan
  • Extensive experience with identification of controlled artifacts (configuration items) and implementation of standard CM control processes
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools and technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong work ethic that is both proactive and self-motivated
  • A team player with proven ability to positively interact with peers and executive management

Desired Skills:

  • Current active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Current Security+ CE certification
  • Prior project management experience
  • Hands-on experience and/or pertinent knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with the fundamentals of computer networking, information assurance, and network security
  • Testing of security procedures, mechanisms and measures
