The gallery sales associate's duties include but are not limited to:
Handle sales from both walk-in traffic as well as those generated from advertisements, catalogs and other venues.
Generate outside sales leads primarily through personally curated art selections communicated by email and phone.
Input inventory into the gallerys resource management system. This includes both artwork and merchandise.
Work with gallery owner on auction acquisitions.
Daily gallery maintenance.
Perform research on provenance and other areas of interest on works of art.
Some weekends required.
Compensation is an hourly rate plus commission, commensurate to experience.
