My freight mostly runs the I-26, I -77 corridor, and my appts are early to allow you to make port to turn in and p/u for the next day, while staying within your allowable time. Your paperwork is sent to you via email attachment, you just print off the copies you need, and when you complete your trip you email back those copies to me-NO wasting time running around Charleston in heavy afternoon traffic to have to go to an office to get your paperwork ! my terminal pays 75% of the gross billed to customer and my rates are higher than most carriers charge
100% FSC goes to truck (has been 33% for most of the past year and no intention of dropping that %)
if you do haul anything overweight ( we only do OW in SC and NCwe do not do reefers, lumber, scrap or any commodity that is grossly OW, nor do we haul anything heavy in the mountains) you are paid 100per state.
for examplewe do an acct in Kings Mt NC, 20' that generally weigh 42 to 44,000they pay the truck 794.00-
no worries if you do not want to haul, you won't be made to, can assure you the other drivers love the acct so would love it to not have to share.
You must be at least 25 years old, have Class A CDL & TWIC CARD, a GOOD MVR and PSP scoring , and a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in the last 5 years-You MUST have your own truckthis is not a Driver position, nor can we use anyone with less than the 2 years of OTR experience, or anyone that does not have a TWIC card.
Cannot accept trucks over 19 years old-11 to 15 years must have 3 months receipts showing maint done and tks 16 to 18 years must have 6 months of receipts
