Summary

Medicare Advantage (MA) is a service that is contracted through Medicare to provide seniors with Part A and Part B benefits.

This position works to support the Medicare Advantage and Risk Adjustment team by creating and analyzing reports to support the business operations. Attention to detail and the ability to proactively collaborate are essential to ensure correctness of the analysis and report finding in a concise manner to both internal and external stake holders. This role is directly responsible for the accuracy of data as well as helping leadership to understand the core elements needed to make financial and operational decisions.

Description

Extracts, analyzes and reports data in a clear and concise report. Revises existing reports and develops new reports based on changing methodologies.

Ensures accuracy and quality reporting. Tracks and verifies all reporting statistics.

Analyzes reports to ensure accuracy and quality. Tracks and verifies all reporting statistics.

Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions.

Logistics:

This role has the flexibility to work in either a remote, hybrid, or on-site position based upon management approval, once the training period has been completed.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related field OR
  • Two year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and two years of reporting and data analysis work experience OR
  • Four years reporting and data analysis experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor degree, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics

Required Work Experience:

  • Four Years Research and analysis experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Prior Medicare Advantage or Risk Adjustment experience.
  • High level of comfort with CMS regulations, policies, compliance and auditing procedures.
  • Tableau software experience.
  • High volume data analysis and reporting.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills. Advanced experience using complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
  • Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, data and business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.
  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer programming skills.
  • Negotiation or persuasion skills.
  • Knowledge of ICD10/CPT2 coding.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system.

Required Software and Other Tools:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Teams, Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment.
  • Some travel between buildings and out of town.
