Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Automation Engineer- Remote for a Temp to Perm assignment with one of our premier Healthcare Services clients in Columbia, SC. Responsibilities :
- Work collaboratively with the development/engineering teams to build/test/deploy pipelines and operate our infrastructure and platforms
- Automate the deployment of day zero Infrastructure configurations such as Windows/Linux on virtual platforms.
- Understand the differences and commonality in technical requirements, end-user needs, and security and compliance requirements of each environment
- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability
- Develop and deliver creative solutions that enable engineering teams
- Build common tools and procedures to streamline and standardize development and deployment
- Design, write and document scripted functionality to increase availability, scalability, efficiency and repeatability
- Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure administration, DevOps, development, or similar role
- Typically requires a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience deploying and/or administrating infrastructure solutions
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python, Node js, JavaScript is an advantage)
- Understanding of vRealize Orchestrator
- Strong understanding of API connectivity
- Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure components (Linux\Windows servers, network devices is an advantage)
- Strong organization skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Relevant certification is preferred
