The Head of e Payments will be at the forefront of designing an industry-leading payment strategy for customers to digitally purchase a wide range of products & services across GM’s global footprint. This role will require working across multiple business units and countries to design and implement a unified GM payment platform. At the center of the payment strategy will be our customers, who over the next few years will be immersed in new digital experiences both inside and outside the vehicle. To power this vision, GM has recently selected Adyen as its platform provider and this role would work closely with the Adyen team.The Head of Ecommerce Payments is a part of the Digital Business Team at General Motors.Key Responsibilities / AccountabilitiesCollaborate cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders to develop and implement the GM payments strategy, across existing and new business units.

Design and execute customer journey payment flows and experiences for a frictionless purchase experience.

Transform, streamline, and automate multiple systems and processes and lead all aspects of the ecommerce payments lifecycle.

Own and lead payment service relationships with various payments service providers, including Adyen.

Stay apprised of industry trends and shifts in the competitive landscape.

Ensure compliance with payment industry rules and regulations.

Lead payments team to ensure timely delivery of payment platform deliverables.

Mentor team members into future leaders and establish a succession plan within your team.

Qualifications/RequirementsSignificant experience in eCommerce Payments Ecosystem (service providers, eCommerce platforms, PSP’s, payment networks, and wallet providers)

Experience developing and implementing a payment strategy within a large, complex environment

Preferred experience in Consumer Product payments

Industry expertise and knowledge in Merchant Payment Process / Banking

Demonstrated success at leading and developing others.

Ability to work cross-functionally to meet organizational goals.

Strong communicator with ability to get buy-in and support from other leaders.

Experience in financial services and in consumer product companies is preferred
