Join our team at our SC Greystone Office Building in Columbia, SC!BHE GT&S is an interstate natural gas transmission and storage company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, that became a standalone subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy in November 2020. We operate more than 5,560 miles of gas transmission line and 756Bcf of underground storage in the eastern U.S., along with gathering, processing and field services businesses. We operatein 12 states.BHE GT&S is an industry leader in liquefied natural gas solutions, through initiatives such as Pivotal LNG and our 25% operating stake in the Cove Point LNG facility in Lusby, Maryland.The energy we deliver supports major distribution utilities, power plants and manufacturing. Our premier storage operations provide dependable, flexible support for direct customers and neighboring pipelines. At our multiple interconnects - especially the liquid South Point hub - BHE GT&S services support both producers and consumers, ensuring competitive access to abundant energy.Through your internship you will provide assistance on various natural gas transmission and storage projects in the Columbia, SC area, includingassisting with project designs as well as the inventory management process. You will also maintain the MOC (Management of Change) database, manage the Methane Reduction Process, provide AutoCAD drawings, and perform other tasks as assigned. Limited exercise of judgment will be required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Individuals must have a desire to learn and produce as a part of a safety-conscious workplace.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Qualified candidates will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:•Currently be enrolled in a 4 year ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree Engineering program; •Students must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2023 and May 2025. •Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA •Active participation in a university engineering organization, especially in a leadership role; •Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Products); ability to grasp new computer programs quickly; •Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Education Requirements •Must currently be enrolled in a 4 year ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree Engineering program. •Must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA (strongly prefer candidates with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA). •Students must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2023 and May 2025.
