Position Summary:The primary purpose for this position is to assess Manage Services Operations processes and procedures and determine areas where efficiencies can be gained through automation. Additionally, this position will also develop scripts and deploys utilities to automate processes and procedures.Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Automates customer environments utilizing industry standard software packages
Sets up monitoring of client environment and develops performance reporting and value-added statistic
Develops and manages project plans, milestones, and reporting
Configures and deploys automation software and hardware within the client and Sirius environment
Creates and maintains documentation for the current and proposed state of automation functions
Performs operation migration of new customers
Position RequirementsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
At least five (5) years of experience in Mainframe System Automation, including experience with one or more of the following automation software packages:
Automic, CA Opsmvs, BMC MainView, ACC Automation, etc.
Other Position Requirements
Experience performing the following tasks:
Demonstrated knowledge of automation software such as Nimsoft Unified Managed, Automate, Opsmvs, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems such as z/OS, OS/400, Windows, UNIX, etc.
Demonstrated ability to utilize programming languages and scripting such as REXX, CLIST, Perl, Visual Basic, VBScript, etc.
Demonstrated ability to discover requirements and develop end to end solutions for manual tasks
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundation certification
ITIL Practitioner certification
Automated Operations certification
