The Program Integrity Division focuses on ensuring accurate financial claims processing, and reducing admin cost to bring the best value to the health care program. The Efficiencies and Product Support team focuses on combining optimized processes with best in class technology to bring the most value to Program Integrity. This all results in a lower health care cost and higher value to the member.This Business Information Consultant partners with management, senior leaders, and front line associates to identify global business issues and organizational improvement opportunities and how to solve them. The Business Information Consultant also is expected to analyze existing and potential workflows, processes, supporting systems and procedures and identify improvements and opportunities for standardization. This position has a strong understanding of systems and enterprise wide strategic focus. Typically reports to management who is not tied to the execution process. Many times they are responsible for working with various IT teams to bring both creative technical solutions with lean process reengineering to create a more high performing organization.Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:· Applies various investigative techniques to uncover improvement areas in operational workflow process, system irregularities to identify improvement opportunities.· Creates unique and various solutions, and business cases, that can apply various techniques such as Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc, and grounds any proposition based on quantifiable data from the organization.· Oversee the execution of changes to processes and systems using skills of tracking and communicating progress with various external and internal organizational elements.· Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.· May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. May make recommendations based upon data analysis.· Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.· Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.· Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.· Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.· Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.Qualifications:· Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; minimum of 5 years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.· Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.· Ability to manipulate large sets of data.· Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.· This job is more focused on higher level technical expertise, mentoring staff in lower job levels, more customer facing, higher level of collaboration, work is higher volume and/or higher risk, and modeling as compared to the Bus Info Analyst Sr job.Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of America’s Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2018 Diversity Inc. magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
