Power BI Developer on a 12+ months renewable contract opportunity in Columbia, SC.Role : Power BI Developer"Visa sponsorship verbiage"We are looking for an experienced and organized Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to be responsible for the upkeep and development of warehouse data to support our Agency's decision support efforts. The Bl Developer builds and maintains a data warehouse design to generate reports on financial and operational intelligence to aid in business performance monitoring and business decision support. The candidate will be working on designing various analytical reports and dashboards of the agency's data and delivering them to top management and other interested parties. As a Bl developer, you will be working with business users collecting their requests, and then updating the set of existing Bl reports to accommodate business needs. The Bl developers will be expected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology, and to help align existing and future reporting requests to such standards. The candidate will also be interacting with Business Analyst and Developers whenever data schemas need redesigning to accommodate new reporting requirements.DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:• Translates business needs to technical specifications• Designs, builds and deploys Bl solutions using Microsoft Power Bl.• Maintains and supports data analytics platforms {e.g. Microsoft Power Bl)• Creates tools to store data {e.g. OLAP cubes)• Conducts unit testing and troubleshooting• Evaluates and improves existing Bl systems• Collaborates with teams to integrate systems• Develops and executes database queries and conduct analyses• Creates visualizations and reports for requested projects• Develops and updates technical documentation• Provides internal or external Power BI training and/or documentationREQUIRED SKILLS (RANKED IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):POWER BISQL 2012/2019PAGINATED REPORTSPOWER BI CONNECTORS AND WORKSPACE MGMTDASHBOARDS AND ETL PROCESSSSIS PACKAGESREQUIRED EDUCATION:BS in IT or related field and 5-10 years of experience.About Vector:Vector Consulting, Inc., (Headquartered in Atlanta) is an IT Talent Acquisition Solutions firm committed to delivering results.
