OverviewPosition Overview:The Product Marketing Communications Manager is an individual contributor who supports a full range of communications activities and initiatives with an emphasis on product marketing amplification, media relations, social media channels, demand-generation emails and trade show support. This position leverages a day-to-day relationship with an outside Public Relations agency to support product marketing, thought leadership, messaging and media relations around the company’s transformational vision for integrated workflows and processes serving public and private health plans. Flexibility, willingness to learn and proactivity are essential to this role. Health IT knowledge/experience, would be a major plus.Your Impact:Media RelationsManage day-to-day resources and activities around media relations strategy with external communications agency

Interface effectively with internal subject matter experts to identify subject matter experts and flesh out story angles

Support and provide resources to facilitate media placements and opportunities

Social MediaManage calendar of social media posts and sustain high-visibility social media presence, growing engagement, and followers

Expand influencer audience and engagement

Strategize and execute campaign for transition of legacy brands to parent brand in conjunction with new brand rollout

Thought LeadershipLeverage big-picture insights and trends into opportunities to demonstrate leadership expertise

Assure communications within job scope align with organizational messaging and strategy

Develop angles and ideas for thought leadership positioning of executives in trade media

Stay abreast of industry trends and issues to adapt to opportunities and needs in the market

EditorialProvide editorial quality control for a variety of external communications with a range of writing styles, including newswriting

Perform copy editing and prooing on short deadlines to maintain quality

Align communications with AP and/or Chicago style and conform to company style book and brand guidelines

Leverage content marketing, social media, and demand-gen best practices with market messaging

Publish quarterly customer newsletter and weekly industry news update to internal audience

Contribute blog posts to corporate website on industry topics

What You Bring:7-10 years of generalist communications experience in healthcare public relations and/or marketing, with experience at a health insurance organization preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Broad-based healthcare and technology industry knowledge

B2B marketing communications experience required

Knowledge of media relations/journalism best practices and ethics

Analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate independent research correctly and objectively

General knowledge of payer operations as they relate to core administration, care management, payment integrity and member engagement a strong plus

Experience in producing social media strategies, campaigns, and posts

Familiarity with health and IT regulatory issues as they relate to the payer world

Ability to work with outside vendors and suppliers to meet deadlines and maintain quality and cost control

Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience managing design work

Ability to work independently in matrixed environment and interface effectively with other business units and executive leadership

Ability to quantify results in metrics, understanding of basic account-based marketing principles

Hootsuite and PowerPoint experience required; familiarity with Adobe, Uberflip, Knak and Canva a plus

Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism, or a combination of education, training, certifications, or significant work experience

Proactive self-starter with strong analytical, strategic planning and project management skills
