Description:Coordinate, control and expedite all material, services, and paperwork necessary for the completion of assigned manufacturing area. Aid in the solution of more complex paperwork, processing or expediting problems. Follow and expedite material at suppliers and internal manufacturing areas. Work with Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Production Supervisors to resolve any planning problems that arise during production. Work as a backup to others in the Planning organization.Maintain proper inventory levels. Provide analysis to aid with inventory disposition, stocking plans, inventory movement, etc. Working ProcedureProcess authorizing documents that release material to production within assigned programs. Work within detailed and high level program schedules. Review stock status, generate manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions for material needed to complete assigned tasks. Perform follow-up activities to expedite documentation, parts, and assemblies through appropriate internal and external operations. Evaluate and take action to clear any shortages that arise during the production cycle. Resolve any additional problems affecting production including advance RN’s, releases with material shortages, or documentation problems that arise during production. Coordinate with other departments such as, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and the Program office any action required to complete assigned tasks.Organize documentation related to assigned tasks for ease of tracking. Prepare and maintain paperwork to ensure availability for further interpretation and use as required. Initiate any appropriate reports. Interpret engineering change notices to determine proper action to incorporate changes as required. This also includes updating any production paperwork to show the change in revision level.Assist in the determination of detailed schedules on a program basis. Assist in coordinating material control functions as they apply to various other departments.Analyze data. Prepare reports. Attend meetings. Present to peers and management.Skills:Manufacturing, material planning, production planning, schedule planningAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Two years’ experience in Production or Materials Planning in a manufacturing environment. Preferable a low volume prototype manufacturing environment Proficient with MS Excel and Word Understanding of manufacturing processesPreferred Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s Degree APICS CPIM Certification, or similar Experience with Costpoint Experience with configuration control softwareAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
