The Program Manager has the responsibility of planning, organizing, staffing, and providing leadership to an assigned team of resources with the ultimate goal of delivering multiple Business Unit project portfolios and programs on time and within budget such that the business requirements are met. The responsibility includes ensuring the projects align with technology solutions to provide the maximum return on investment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:o Ensure project requests are evaluated, aligned, and prioritized in terms of business unit objectives, benefit, and criticality.o Facilitate Steering Committee meetings with business stakeholders and IT management to discuss project prioritization and overall project status.o Actively manage and report on the enterprise Demand Pipeline of project requests.o Collaborate with the Program Managers and the Resource Managers to align staffing capacity and release scheduling processes.

Solution Delivery:o Manages the delivery of Business Unit Project portfolios and/or medium to large Business Unit Programs/Projects according to the client’s standard Project Management methodology.o Ensure project scope, schedule and budget are established and managed throughout the program/project lifecycle.o Ensure project and issue status is communicated to business stakeholders, IT Management, and project team members.o Ensure expectations are managed and risks/issues are identified early and mitigated.

Business Relationship Management:o Gain understanding of business strategies by clarifying goals and ensuring business perspectives are correctly represented.o Direct, develop or assist with the development of business unit strategies as they relate to projects, enhancements, or fixes.o Provide Business Case development consultation and cost/benefit analysis assistance.o Assist with business process design, optimization, and operational efficiency.

Ongoing:o Maintain positive working relationship with project teams, business units and external vendors.o Stay abreast of industry trends in business and technology.

Education, Training and Experience:Potential candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree• PMI/PMP Project Management certification or similar designation is desired• Banking or credit union industry experience required• Experience in AGILE environment & Proficient in MS-Project or similar enterprise project management solution• 4 - 7 years of experience in managing complex medium to large scale programs/projects involving multiple organizations• The ideal candidate may also have experience in systems development and project management related disciplines such as management consulting, quality management, financial management and/or organization change management.
