Our direct client is seeking a Senior Collibra Analyst / Modeler for their Columbia, SC location. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Job Description: The Collibra Analyst/Modeler as part of the Office of Data Management will support the development of the metadata operating model in adherence with data management standards and policies.This position will design the build, and working closely with the Technical lead and enhances and maintains the data catalog, policy and standards library, the data lineage, the data quality, privacy and risk dashboards as well as how to translate metadata usage into business enabled processes. This role aligns to Metadata, Master and Reference Data Management standards to promote data accountability, validate compliance, and track data governance effectiveness through scorecards and status reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create data management processes to be automated in the Collibra and participation in data governance efforts
  • Perform business requirements analysis for business rules, business processes and documents associated with population, maintenance and completeness of metadata
  • Work with leadership to design, maintain, and support application, business glossary, business intelligence, data integration, data modeling, and database management resources in Collibra
  • Design Collibra Privacy model and processes
  • Design processes and metamodel linkage between technical Business Glossaries and Collibra assets
  • Validate completeness of data lineage between the point of data element creation (system of record) and the point where it is consumed by business users (trusted data sources) and design processes for implementation to certify Tier 1 CDEs and Reports
  • Provide ongoing support for metadata implementation, testing and integration
  • Design and maintain metadata standards and procedures
  • Create requirements and solution architecture for all Collibra implemented and manual processes, including issues, catalog, lineage, privacy data quality and risk
  • Devise improvements to current procedures and develop methods for increasing efficiency, accuracy, and performance of metadata solutions. Integrate with information excellence for the identification, tracking, root cause analysis, and monitoring of data challenges across the enterprise
  • Designing Dashboard and Tableau integrations for Collibra platform
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the data catalogue to ensure compliance with the data governance standards and policies
  • Participate in a variety of activities related to data governance, data strategy implementation, data modeling, data requirements, risk assessment, identification of data challenges, modeling, data manipulation, and/or requirement elicitation

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of business analyst/business process improvement experience that includes experience building and/or analyzing data ingestion frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with data management processes, metadata management, data stewardship, and data quality
  • Experience and knowledge of Collibra; certification a plus
  • Experience with data governance and change management processes
  • A self-starter with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Possesses effective analytical abilities in order to make recommendations on improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, and time management
  • Ability to work independently
